Intensive Interaction

This practical, training session introduces Intensive Interaction, a person-centred approach designed to support communication and connection with individuals who have severe learning difficulties and/or autism. Participants will learn how to use body language, facial expressions, and vocalisations to build trust and engage in meaningful, responsive communication.

Course Aims:

To understand what is meant by Intensive Interaction, who it is for and why it can be important in the lives of those with a learning disability
To understand the principles behind Intensive Interaction and the techniques used
To explore ways to integrate Intensive Integration into daily life
To consider how Intensive Interaction is commonly misunderstood
To feel confident to have a go!
